Traction drive
The traction drive takes this scarifier to a new level in terms of user comfort. No need to push the machine anymore. All you have to do is steer. This comfort is further enhanced by a height-adjustable and vibration-damped handlebar. On the back the machine runs on a roller so that the turf is also immediately rolled in one operation. The raked-out thatch is laid down loose on top of this rolled lawn, making it easier to pick up.
The electric motor brings another dimension of comfort. The operator enjoys the same power as a gasoline engine but without the noise, exhaust and vibration.
The blades on the E-ZR series rotate against the direction of travel. The blades dynamically scoop into the turf and lift the impurities completely out of the lawn to eject the overtop. This provides an unsurpassed cleaning effect.
If this model is equipped with a traction system, it is also to compensate for the backward thrust generated by the counter-rotating rotor. Unlike a conventional scarifier that can be pushed, the material extracted from the ground is completely removed and the raking work is greatly facilitated. However, the main advantages of this system will be to extract much more material from the ground and completely, but above all not to absolutely require an additional cross-pass.

These ultra-thin and resistant knives benefit from the “Permanent sharp blade™” technology, which means that their tip will not erode throughout their life despite natural wear and tear, and that their effectiveness will be permanent throughout their lifespan (more than 100 hours of work). This permanently aggressive tip is one of the many advantages of this model, which will allow you to really extract more material from the ground on only one pass rather than crushing it in the ground.
Placed in pairs on each stand, the knives are positioned with a 60° offset between them with a spacing of only 15mm. This clever arrangement – combined with a reverse rotor rotation as it moves forward – provides a great result in a single pass while minimizing damage to the ground.
The rotor features 54 easily interchangeable knives, mounted on ultra-light aluminium brackets, this beefy set requires little power from the motor to drive and further maximises machine runtime.
The working depth is typically 2 mm. At this speed, virtually no braking is applied to the blades so that they can operate at full speed and lift up moss and thatch from the lawn surface. As the blades do not cut through the roots, this greatly reduces the time required by the lawn to recover after dethatching. Accurate and correct depth setting implies a very fine adjustable depth adjustment. To this end, the front wheels of the E450 ZR feature an infinitely variable adjustment, without the need of any tool. This enables the same depth to be set across the entire blade shaft.
In addition, the sturdy front wheels mounted on double ball bearings are equipped with scrapers, to prevent clogging of the material that would increase the thickness and distort the depth adjustment.
The E450 ZR E-Power scarifier is self-propelled by a smooth rubber-coated roller, with a diameter of 150mm. The role of the roller is to try to trample on small irregularities in the ground and to guarantee good stability of the entire machine, in order to maintain a controlled working depth in all circumstances.
In order to avoid an accumulation of material on the roller when working in wet ground conditions, ELIET has added a scraper device that continuously cleans the entire roller, in order to prevent the working depth from being impacted by a possible accumulation of material.
In addition, manoeuvring at the end of the line is made easier by the possibility of sliding the machine on its roller without having to stop and reposition itself in the next work line.
By this effective action, the irregularities present on the lawn are filled in by leaving beautiful grid patterns on the surface, and thus intelligently preparing the lawn for the mowing season.

This undeniable advantage will provide the user with optimal handlebar support and a less nose-up attitude, but above all a lot of comfort when performing maneuvers at the end of the line.
